There are also other places such as private offices and fitness facilities that offer massage therapy treatment. What is important is that the place where the massage is to be performed is as soothing and as calm as possible.

A massage therapy session also has several durations. It may be depending on the preference of the patient or in some cases on the recommendation of the doctor. Some massage sessions are as short as 15 minutes which is just enough to perk up and remove a day's worth of stress. On the other hand, there are those that last from 30 minutes to an hour. There are health conditions that require the massages to be repeated for a couple of times and to go on for several weeks.

Next, there is an evaluative interview where the therapist will ask you several questions regarding your current health. The therapist will also ask you about your medical condition and history. Your lifestyle and profession might also be asked as these are factors that might cause stress. From this evaluation, the therapist can determine the best type of massage for you.
